Eswaramma

Second Chances

Eswaramma is believer in the Covenant church at Pallamalli in Prakasam district. To sustain the family, her husband started a footwear business. But he didn’t get any profit from the business. The business went into a loss, because of which he landed into a financial debt. Many a times money lenders came to his house and abused him in bad language. Because of all this pressure he committed suicide, leaving behind his wife and three children. At this time, Easwaramma was completely depressed and didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know how to move on further with life. She didn’t have any help from others and suffered a lot financially. She wasn’t able to feed three of her children and had a lot of debt that she owed. She worked hard everyday doing daily labor work to feed the family. At this time, the Covenant church pastor, seeing her condition told her about Covenant Business Connections and asked her to apply for a loan. With no other way to go, she applied for a loan to restore the footwear business left behind by her husband. CBC verified her problems and granted her a loan of Rs. 30,000 to start the business. She opened the shop and has been working very hard. Now, the business has been doing very well. Her business is strategically located in market place, because of which many people come to the shop. She earns an income of Rs. 400 everyday. With this amount, she pays of her debt. In this manner, their financial problems has been reducing. Now their children go to an English medium school. The people in the village are surprised that she is running the business better than her husband. She is very grateful to God for giving her this opportunity through Covenant Business Connections.
